Use, Cleaning, Maintenance and Warranty Information

Thank you for purchasing this Power Logic product which will give you years of trouble free operation provided you follow these regular maintenance steps.

Use and Care:

This product is designed for indoor use only. The product should not be used in moist, damp or high humidity environments. Do not operate the unit within 6M (25ft) of any flammable liquids or gases. The product has a normal operating temperature range of 5 – 40 degrees Celcius (41 – 104 degrees Fahrenheit). Do not install the product in areas or subject the product to temperatures exceeding this range. Always ensure that the voltage and current rating of your product match those of the incoming power supply to avoid serious damage to equipment or injury to persons. Do not use the product if any breakage is visible. Please contact your nearest distributor or the manufacturer for assistance.

Cleaning and Maintenance:

To clean your product, use a damp lint-free cloth. Wipe the surfaces gently to remove any fingerprint marks or dust and dirt. The product should be wiped dry afterwards. DO NOT use any of the following on your product to avoid damage or injury:
• wet cloth
• chemical solvents
• degreasers
• ethanol or methanol related products

Manufacturer Warranty:

Power Logic SA warrants that this electric product is designed and manufactured to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of twelve (12) months from original date of purchase. Extended warranties are available from the manufacturer on prior written notice and approval.

Warranty Limitations and Exclusions:

This warranty does not apply to damages resulting from misuse, abuse, accident, negligence, alteration, natural disaster, incorrect installation or improper operation, unauthorized adjustments or calibrations, nor damages due to harsh chemicals (i.e. cleaning products improperly applied), dents or scratches. The Warrantor is not responsible for consequential or incidental damages. Under no circumstances shall Power Logic SA or any of its representatives be held liable for injury to any person or damage to any property, however arising.

Standard Warranty Terms and Conditions

  1. Subject to the conditions set out below Power Logic SA (Pty) Ltd (PLSA) warrants that the goods will correspond with their specification at the time of delivery and the customer agrees that the only warranty offered is the manufacturers warranty in relation to the specific goods which unless specifically varied shall be that in the event that a defect is discovered in any article sold by PLSA and reported to PLSA in writing during the period [12 months] from the date of delivery of the goods which defect was caused by faulty design or manufacture, PLSA will at its option either repair that article at PLSA’s own expense, replace the article or refund the purchase price of the article, subject in all cases to the return of the article to PLSA at the customer’s expense. Any costs arising from the return or reinstallation of the product are not covered by this warranty.
  2. PLSA shall be under no liability under the above warranty or any other warranty, guarantee or condition, if the total price of the goods has not been paid in full by the due date for payment.
  3. PLSA shall be under no liability in respect of any defect arising from fair wear and tear, willful damage, negligence, accident, abnormal working conditions, failure to follow manufacturers’ instructions whether oral or in writing, misuse, alteration, amendment, use of supplies from sources which have not been authorised by PLSA or repair of the goods without PLSA’s written approval.
  4. PLSA shall be under no liability in respect of a defect in the goods from any drawing, design or specification supplied by the customer.
  5. Disputes in quality of any one delivery shall not be a ground for cancellation of the outstanding part of the order, agreement or contract.
  6.  The warranty contained above is in lieu of all conditions and warranties whatsoever, whether express or implied and whether arising at common law or by statute, all of which are hereby excluded except to the extent prohibited by the laws of South Africa.
  7. Save in respect of personal injury or death due to the negligence of the Seller the Seller shall not be liable to the Customer in respect of any loss suffered by the Customer due to any defect in the Goods.
  8. Without prejudice to Condition 1 the Seller shall not be liable to the Customer or any third party for any loss of profit, consequential or other economic loss suffered by the Customer arising in any way from this Agreement.
  9. Save in respect of personal injury or death due to the negligence of the Seller the liability of the Seller under these Conditions shall not exceed the Price.
