Plug the device into a compatible AC power outlet (New SA or Euro Type). It will begin charging as indicated by an Orange light on the front. When fully charged, this will change to green. The switch on the top of the device has three settings: Auto, Off, On In “Auto” mode, the device will detect a power failure and automatically switch the LED lights on. This will only occur in low light conditions, so that it will not drain the internal battery during a daytime power outage. A Blue LED light indicates the Auto mode is on.
In “On” mode, the LED lights will switch on and the product can be used as a light/torch. The daylight sensing will be deactivated in “On” mode. In “Off” mode the product does not operate and the Auto light will not switch on. It will still charge from the AC outlet and retain charge in the internal battery for the next time you wish to use it. This setting is useful if you need to save battery capacity for later or just need to prevent the light from switching on automatically.
Light indicators:
